
After graduating at the top of his class from the University of Buenos Aires, Dr. Conrado J. Etchebarne became chief inspector at the Superintendency of Corporations. He also served as Minister of Justice during a four-year term at age of 36. He was retained by the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange to draft proposed legislation on securities for Argentina, later adopted as the Ley de Oferta Pública de Títulos Valores No. 17,811 (public offering of securities act), which created the Comisión Nacional de Valores and regulates the public offering of securities and the stock exchanges in Argentina.
He has been recently appointed as member of the American Law Institute, the most prestigious organization devoted to the development and analysis of the law in the United States. He is a Trustee at the Eisenhower Fellowship in Philadelphia. He has been a securities expert for over 35 years and has a significant experience in litigation against the federal government and its related agencies.
