
Joaquín Araya obtained his law degree at the University of Buenos Aires School Law (1999).
Mr. Araya has an extensive experience of over 14 years in the financial system, having worked at Citibank Argentina, Wells Fargo Financial and Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (BPBA), where he worked as Counsel to the Board of Directors and Chief Counsel of BPBA´S VP, with responsibilites in the areas of Collections, Internal Audits, Administration, Finance, Strategic Planning and Budget.
During 2004 and 2005, Mr. Araya was appointed representative of the Board of Directors of BPBA in connection with an IMF Audit, having implemented a Strategic Plan for a delinquent credit portfolio of over A$2.8 billion.
At BPBA, he participated on Debt Restructurings, Public Buildings for amounts over A$700 million, definition of certain policies of BPBA and the implementation of certain Trusts.
