Alejandro Carlos D’Onofrio recently joined CEKD as partner in charge of the Natural Resources group of the firm. Mr. D’Onofrio was a member of the law firm of Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal for the past twelve years, in charge of the Mining Law department and with active participation in the Oil & Gas, M&A and Corporate departments.

Mr. D’Onofrio was selected by Chambers Global 2006 and 2007 as a “Leader in Argentina” in Energy. He advised the board of directors of the largest energy companies in Argentina, in regulatory, contractual and general corporate matters. He advised domestic and foreign corporations in energy matters. He leaded the acquisition of major companies in Argentina during the 90’s, conducting due diligence teams and drafting and negotiating agreements relative to the transactions. He advised multilateral credit agencies in structuring credit agreements with domestic corporations.

He acted as foreign attorney in the international practice team of the law firm of Hughes & Luce, in Dallas, USA (1990-91).

He received an LL.M. from Southern Methodist University (1991) and his law degree from the University of Buenos Aires (1988).
