Banking and Financial Law

We have an extensive experience representing local and foreign commercial banks, insurance companies, investment and merchant banking firms and corporate lenders, as well as borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions. We actively participate in the drafting and negotiation of secured and unsecured loan agreements, letters of credit, note purchase agreements, project financing agreements, manufacturer financing, equity participations in the form of common and preferred stock investments, and offerings of convertible securities, warrants and partnership interests.

We provide legal advice in corporate, regulatory, banking and/or capital markets matters to local financial entities and local offices of foreign financial entities.

Mr. Guillermo Cabanellas, one of CEKD’s senior partners, has been Director of the Banking Law Program of Austral University before being Director of the Business Law Program of University of San Andrés and has authored several law articles published by specialized journals in connection with new developments on banking regulation and practice. We also maintain an excellent working relationship with the Argentine Central Bank.
